Strategy
This section helps explain what strategy means and why it is important, the strategic aspects of budgeting and how good communication, PR and use of the media fits into the picture.
Planning
This section gives some advice on the rudiments of constructing a plan, whether it be a business plan or a strategic plan - or both - or more besides!
Policy
This section gives some guidance on the meaning of 'policy' for the voluntary sector and how to develop and them promote policy.
Activity
This section provides some guidance on managing the actual activities that an organisation becomes involved in in order to effect its purpose. It particularly focuses on joint working with other organisations and bodies, including managing contracts.

This section provides some information on the systems that a hall committee can put in place to help it effect its purpose and operate more effectively.

Conducting Research
Most voluntary organisations need good research. It can help make the case for their purpose and activities and can help when founding, continuing and developing the organisation. It is possible for most hall committeess to conduct research of some kind, even if on a small scale. This section provides an introduction to this area.
Organisational Development
Voluntary organisations must regularly change in order to better achieve their aims. These changes may be small or they may be large but when they are positive changes they allow the organisation to grow and develop rather than stagnate. This section provides some introductory information on how to effectively develop an organisation.
